We are looking for Engineer Marine Operations for UAE JOB PURPOSE Supervise and coordinates the daytoday operational activities on Jebel Dhanna Fujairah Terminal Offshore side including safe navigation pilotage tanker berthing loading operations and to maintain offshore facilities reliable and available in accordance with international standards and local code and regulation KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Job Specific Accountabilities Monitors marine contractor s activities at Jebel Dhanna Terminal involved in the provision of pilotage mooring unmooring loading operations maintenance of offshore oil installation and compliance with safety regulations Ensure safe operations assigning mooring locations and directing the provision of mooring assistance to vessels Coordinate with other Marine Engineers to track the implementation of crude oil loading programmes Includes reviewing monthly ship allocations and other Shareholders for allowable Review master program expected time of ship arrival ETAs and nominations allocation of berths in accordance with size of tankers and rates of loading Review Inspection reports of channel buoys and other marine safety equipment provide advice to Marine Engineers for regular maintenance of buoys by contractor to ensure positioning for safe navigation Administer marine operations contracts Includes preparing specifications scope of work negotiating contracts terms and conditions inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with contract terms verifying contractors invoices and processing for payment Participate in resolving noncompliance to all relevant process safety elements and integrity compliance KPI and report any deviation from the environment requirements Participates in all tendering contracting and administration procedures related to the Marine Operations Contract from inception to contract award including preparing scheduling and auditing contractors activities to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the required standards and in compliance with contract clauses Reviews all project documents related to marine and offshore operations Includes reviewing scope of work technical specifications to ensure compatibility and maintainability of new plant and equipment reviewing and commenting on conceptual basic and detailed design packages Ensures all offshore activities are carried out in accordance with International Ship Port Facilities Security Code ISPS Code adhering to the terms and conditions of the Code Generic Accountabilities Supervision Plan supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned off shore area with IRSHAD Contractor to meet terminal objectives Train and develop the newly assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives Budgets Provide input for preparation of the Department Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives Positively Contribute on Preparation of related FPs for Department projects including SOW and cost estimation Policies Systems Processes Procedures Implement approved Department Section policies processes systems standards including international off shore operations standards ISPS Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations Performance Management Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department Section in line with the Company Performance framework Innovation and Continuous Improvement Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function Health Safety Environment HSE and Sustainability Conduct regular visits to the worksites and ensure job is executed safely Undertakes hazard assessment and identifies precautions for the PTW issued in their work area Ensure work is carried out in line with the HSE procedure requirements Implement corrective action for Hazards and near miss reported in the area Carryout the emergency responsibilities in line with the respective roles as per the emergency organization Reports Provide inputs to prepare terminal facilities and equipment Shutdown Plan Review and approve daily terminal loading forecast plan stocktaking reports prepared by the duty Operators apply required amendment to meet production Plan COMMUNICATIONS WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Internal Regular frequent contacts with Onshore operations and other departments in JDA External Frequent contacts with the Port Officer Oil Pollution Control Officer IRSHAD Ruwais other Ruwais Terminal Operators Regular contacts with tanker Agents regarding shipping movements other relevant matters Desired Candidate Profile QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE SKILLS Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum Experience Knowledge Skills 8 years of operations experience in oil and gas industry preferably in technical marine environment Professional Certifications Class 1 Marine Engineer Steam or Motor Preferable TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Familiar with international Standards for offshore oil operations STCW Familiar with different Type of oil tankers systems and operations VLCC ULCC BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Supervisory skills Critical Thinking Problemsolving Results Focus Team work
