Department Definition

The Project Management Office department oversees policies and procedures across departments to check that they are accurate and in line with local and global best practices and codes of conduct.

The department ensures that staff members are trained on compliance matters, such as bribery and corruption law, whistle blowing, and identifying and reporting on potential conflicts of interest.

The department also develops a risk-management and risk-mitigation procedure to monitor financial risk.

Opportunity Responsibilities

This role will contribute to the delivery of an amazing Expo 2020 that meets best practice in providing assurance to the stakeholders by assisting with the compliance programme of Expo Dubai 2020 LLC.

The main responsibilities of this role will include :

  • Ensure effective execution of the Expo 2020 compliance programme and its associated policies and protocols on Tactical Projects and assist with the development of a monthly Compliance & Audit report;
  • Contribute to the Tactical Pre-payments audit and special reviews and contribute to the management of Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality Policy;
  • Assist with the reviewing, assessing and gaining endorsement of any exemptions provided to various departments deviating from the internal controls, policies and procedures of Expo Dubai 2020;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager directly related or relevant to the job;
  • Lead the division responsibly and proficiently, providing effective line management to direct reports;
  • Set objectives and evaluate performance of individual direct reports and actively manage key personnel issues;
  • Ensure that all staff acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate learning and development programs.
  • Skills

    7+ years’ experience in contracts audit, forensic reviews and compliance reviews as well as :

  • A Bachelors degree within a relevant field;
  • Recognized professional qualification in one of the following, CIA, CPA or ACCA;
  • Interact with others in a manner that is respectful, patient, tolerant and understanding;
