Job Description Purpose & Scope : The installation Engineer shall provide installation engineering technical input / assistance, required to safely perform lifting operations, both offshore andinshore.
He shall closely interact with NPCC Fabrication Yard and Offshore Operations Department to develop installation methods and resolve any relatedissues. Duties & Responsibilities :
Responsible for planning and allocating tasks for the Engineering and Design teams, the coordination of activities, attendance at client meetings and the preparation and checking of all project documentation mitigating interdisciplinary interface issues.
Ensure technical accuracy, quality and timely issuance of lifting and installation engineering related deliverables (documents & drawings, as required) during the construction and installation phase of offshore projects.
Ensuring adherence to company procedures, client specifications, guidelines, international codes and standards.
Skills Required Minimum Requirement :
Degree in Civil / Structural or Mechanical Engineering Discipline.
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Lifting studies / drawings of heavyoffshore structures, design of Installation Aids.
Conversant with Offshore Industry related guidelines, codes and regulations.
Proven supervisory track record in major projects and management potential
Planning & organizing skills
Influencing and leadership skills.
Thorough understanding of engineering discipline.
Thorough knowledge of interdisciplinary interfaces.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good Communication skills.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, structural analysis software (STAAD etc.) althoughnot essential shall be considered an advantage.
