General Description :

  • Oversee and manage the portfolio of programmes, projects and initiatives in alignment with Daman's strategic objectives and direction
  • Develop and champion the overall project management discipline and practices within Daman from initiation and planning through to execution and closure
  • Main Duties : Standard Duties :

    Standard Duties :

  • Develop and implement a department strategy according to the company strategy, set departmental and operational goals and initiate measures to reach these goals and to improve the overall department performance
  • Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against departmental goals
  • Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-
  • to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings

  • Manage the department expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilisation on the financial budget
  • Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness, service orientation, and implementing and complying with processes
  • Initiate, develop, implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Promote and support the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals to significantly contribute to Daman's strategic goals
  • Department-specific Duties :
  • Work with the Director Corporate Strategy, Daman C-Levels and other key stakeholders to define and maintain the governance model, mandate and structures surrounding project and portfolio management in Daman
  • Support and manage decision-making by Daman leadership on all new project proposals and ongoing projects, as well as the overall portfolio
  • Develop, maintain and operate project and portfolio prioritisation methodologies, tools and practices
  • Review and assess programme and project proposals for alignment to strategic objectives, deliverability, resourcing, governance and management p
  • Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, minimum 5 years of which should be in a management / supervisory rolePMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management certificationPgMP or equivalent Programme Management certification is a plusBachelor degree in any field;
  • Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems and Project Management backgrounds preferredMaster degree is a plusDynamic, self-

  • driven with strong business understanding and backgroundStrategic thinking with strong focus on results and high quality of work, and able to think out of the boxVery good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skillsVery good command of written and spoken English;
