JOB OVERVIEW

Finance Business Partner of the Emerging Markets Regional Vice President.Responsible for providing financial support and direction to the Emerging Markets Leadership team, finding ways to enable the business to deliver on its revenue goals, while driving organizational profitable growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Finance business partnering to the Emerging Markets RVP and Leadership team.
  • Provide quality business, financial and commercial acumen to the plans and operational execution of the business in the Emerging Markets region.
  • Influence business outcomes by utilizing sound financial guidance and finance modelling
  • Actively work with business partners to achieve the operating plan with respect to the key measures of revenue, margin, measurement spend and operating profit whilst maximizing opportunities and mitigating risks
  • Responsible for the Annual Operating Plan process at CMT (Critical Mass Territory) level translating corporate and regional targets and setting targets for commissions and Sales Management Bonuses
  • Provide input into the weekly sales review, and ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of all P&L forecasts
  • Owns the Financial deal structuring on all complex bids together with the Deal Support team. Advises on the financial implications of management decisions and establishes the financial soundness of proposed deals / transactions
  • Provide professional financial management advice and guidance to local management on large, complex or unusual deals
  • Monitoring of complex bids on an ongoing basis, reporting variances to management and influencing the appropriate corrective action
  • Provide, with the support of FP&A, appropriate and meaningful reporting; present financials and business learnings to the Emerging Markets RVP, Leadership team and to the EMEA Finance Leadership.

    Ensure that all reporting deadlines are met and are accurate, while providing value add analysis and commentary.

  • Manage continuous change in a professional, proactive and planned manner to maximize business performance
  • Maintain a robust internal control and governance environment complying with Hitachi Vantara policies and external governance requirements such as Sarbanes Oxley 404 via regular management inspection & review.
  • No material audit issues arising and any that do are brought to the attention of relevant management and remediated timely

  • Compliance with US GAAP / IFRS with reference to Revenue Recognition policies to ensure that deals have the correct documentation and terms and condition to justify accounting treatment
  • Prepare and communicate annual performance appraisals
  • Provide coaching and management support to direct reports, including regular / weekly one to one meetings.
  • Communicate Global finance objectives and status thereof periodically

    Qualifications

  • University Graduate in Business related field
  • Preference for MBA of Master level degree
  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, revenue recognition, SOX
  • 5+ years supporting Sales / Sales Executives and in business partnering at Sr. Management levels.
  • Experience in the IT industry is a plus
  • Management experience
  • Proven commercial skills
  • Excellent communication written & verbal
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English language
  • Mobile for travelling in EMEA (role requires travel given the large Geography to cover Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Russia.
  • Must have the technical and commercial skills to make an immediate contribution to the business, as well as the interpersonal skills to work closely with both regional and EMEA management
