This position is responsible will be responsible for the smooth operating of the entire Laundry and Kitchen equipments preventive maintenance, spares parts requests, efficiently attends toplaints to avoid hindrance to the operations and maintains clean and safe working environment always.
The responsibilities expected to observe safe working practice in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instruction specified by Chief Engineer / Engineering Supervisor which is always in line with Millennium Hotels & Resorts standards and according to professional and safe engineering principle.
To minimize by all means equipment breakdown and to be operational at all times.
To follow up on daily records, maintenance schedules and assisting the superior on implementing of optimum staff planning and control.
Trouble-shooting, repair and preventive maintenance of :
a.) Laundry machines such as washes extractor, tumblers, flat work ironer, dry cleaning machines, utility press, form finisher, vacuum machine, marker etc.
b.) Kitchen equipment such as cooking range, toaster, juicer, ice maker, freezers, fridge, blender, oven, food warmer, brewers, dish washing machine, mixer etc.
Systematically check, oiling & lubricating of laundry & kitchen equipment, changing of belts, tighten of screws, nuts and bolts if necessary to ensure that all machines are in good working order.
Daily checking & recording of cooking gas consumption & order when stock level runs low.
Maintain all lighting in laundry & kitchen area including lighting at cold rooms, fridge etc.
Participates in energy conservations through proper control of operation schedule.
Carry out proper scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce the breakdowns and maintenance costs.
Ensure that all Laundry & Kitchen equipments are properly maintained and service to upkeep all equipments and to avoid breakdown.
Perform preventive maintenance andpletes the turn-over quickly and efficiently to satisfy and meet the Guest needs.
Respond to breakdowns of equipments and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
Assist the Superiors and subordinates in the operations and maintenance.
Maintains a clean work area and follows a safe working environment always.
Give priority to guest related equipmentplaints and related issues.
Demonstrates a high degree of culture and service standards awareness.
Participates in fire drills and hotel organised charity events.

Minimum 3 years’ Experience in a similar role and should ideally be a licensed high / low pressure boiler operator with a proven knowledge in the operation of equipments such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines and / or steam boilers.
A goodmand of English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems are essentials.in Hotel standard or experienced in Facilities Managementpanies.
Have a High School, Degree or Diploma qualification or its equivalent.
Ability to speak & understand English is an advantage.
