In anticipation of contract award, Vertex is seeking experienced professionals to support Aviation Services at our United Arab Emirates Headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will work collaboratively with program management as a business partner and point of contact to provide superior human resources services to our clients.
HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the assigned Programs
Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning, and facilitation of Positive Employee and Labor Relations initiatives
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the Human Resources field
Implement and effective Retention strategy through employee engagement assessment activities and regression analysis of exit interviews.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Provides retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision making, statistical data, and other employee-
related reports as required
Ability to Influence change and support in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) matrixed organization.
Provide technical support to the HR Generalists at other Program subordinate sites, as applicable
Tactical & Strategic responsibility of the HR function
Resolve Employee Issues :
Assist with the Labor Relations function
Policy review, interpretation and recommendations
New Hire Orientation for applicable site
Salary Review / Analysis for Promotions / Reclassifications
Employee Communications through weekly calls and emails
EDS Approvals and Submissions
Special Projects and Process Improvements as needed
Pro-Active and Positive Employee Relations
Pro-Active Approach on On-Boarding and Off-Boarding Employees
Pro-Active and Strategic Relationship with Functional Leads
Pro-Active Coaching, Mentoring and Consultation with Supervisors / Managers
Proactively manage employee relations needs to support an environment of integrity, respect, collaboration and effective communications
Use of SAP, EDS, Applicant Tracking, AutoTime, and other applicable HR systems
Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
Other projects and initiatives as assigned.
Physical Requirements : Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation of machines (including inspection);
using measurement devices; and / or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft.
At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat / cold.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management and At least eight (8) years of experience in human resources as a Generalist OR Education / Experience equivalent
At least four (4) years SAP or other HRIS experience required.
International Labor Law / Relations preferred
HR Certification from HRCI or SHRM
Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) preferred
Experience and knowledge of SCA and working US government contracts preferred
Extensive Generalist Experience
Strong Employee Relations
Independent root cause problem solving skills
Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).
Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.

Some travel will be required.
