Job responsibilities inter alia includes effective management of Reinsurance Department of UAE and Sri Lanka operation, including but not limited to :

  • Critically evaluate Reinsurance Treaty arrangements that are currently in place and make suggestions / recommendations wherever necessary;
  • Carryout portfolio analysis to ensure adequacy and soundness of the reinsurance arrangements in place and identify any gaps;
  • Ensure effecient Treaty renewal process and work closely with the management during renewal discussion anf finalization;
  • Support management in arranging new treaties in line with growth objectives;
  • Securing best reinsurance terms and conditions with first class securities;
  • Explore new markets / securities that can be more advantageous to the company;
  • Management of treaties and ensure timely reporting wherever required;
  • Develop relationship with reinsurers and reinsurance brokers;
  • Provide support and guidance wherever required by Underwriting and Claims teams.
  • Minimum Qualification and Knowledge :

  • Bachelor's Degree (Commerce / Science / Arts / Business Administration)
  • Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute, London or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience :

  • 10-15 years of experience in progressive organization (including 7-10 years in a senior management position handling similar job responsibilities)
  • Job Specific Details :

  • General Insurance with particular emphasis on both Marine and Non Marine lines
  • Knowledge in Life insurance will be an added advantage
