Role Purpose / Summary :

The role is technical support role to drive software sales into a range of accounts across MENA. The role involves on going active collaboration with the Legal Specialists to deliver the technical elements of software sales.

The role focuses on support our Account Management managing existing software clients to ensure consistent annuity revenue streams.

This is achieved through highly professional on-going client management.

The person will be the local interface with the central team to help scope out client software requirements, prepare the technical demonstrations and help prepare demonstration to ensure we have a high confidence of winning the software sale.

The role requires on going knowledge transfer to the wider specialist and Account management team to ensure continuous development of knowledge around our Legal software.

The role will form part of the In-House Software Solutions team and is primarily office based but with face to face client interaction when required.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

  • Providing contract Express, legal Tracker and Elite (Mattersphere and BDP) product support (technical and security) and problem solving as part of the pre-sales process.
  • Analyse customer workflows and match our software solution offering to those workflows to support the sale of these solutions.
  • Support delivery of impactful client demonstrations.
  • Initiating and participating in account planning sessions with both internal and client's key stakeholders
  • Identification, creation and development of professional services opportunities within client base
  • Will be the internal reference to support answering client’s technical questions around our software solutions during the sale process.
  • Will the primary local support for specialists to get technical assistance with our central teams to support software sales.
  • Identifies and collaborates with internal partners which are needed to support positioning and sales growth.
  • Working in CRM environment
  • Reporting, analysis and meeting involvement as required by Head of Specialists.
  • Ability to support management within the team as the pre-sales technical lead.
  • Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Strong technical affinity for software, data analytics, etc.
  • Understanding our Thomson Reuters Legal solutions either through previous use or form research.
  • Preferable to have a Law degree with 2-5 years’ experience in a corporate legal department / law firm, or have experience in legal administration or have actively engaged legal software solutions or have had an active role in technical function of a law firm / corporate.
  • Strong understanding of legal department operations.
  • Experience in software sales (including SaaS).
  • Strong customer engagement experience with a track record of delighting customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and relate to multiple levels of a client's organization (staff, general counsel, C-Suite).
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions to large groups of people.
  • High level of initiative and works well in a team environment.
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Consultative and problem-solving skills.
  • Client service and solution oriented.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability and willingness for occasional travel to client sites.
