Job Description

This post reports to Superintendent

Job Purpose

To perform all schedule / unscheduled maintenance on all aircraft including A checks, C checks, daily, non-flying 48hrs / 7 days checks, trouble shooting, defect rectification, components removal / installation, routine servicing, pre-

departure / post arrival checks, IFE,SATCOM,ACARS and standard Aircraft Avionics system checks, assist the LAEs in defects diagnosis and rectification to meet high operational and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Technical Work Orders (TWO) on aircraft, in accordance with AMM and Royal Jets Flight Quality Control Standards under supervision of LAEs.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance, Engineering Service Bulletins & modifications, as per Work Orders & AMM procedures under LAEs’ supervision.
  • Assist in Installation and removal of Medivac units & configuration changes as per requirements in accordance within company procedures if required.
  • Attending to VIP & VVIP departures and arrivals to ensure the smooth and safe VIP movement, with no time delays.
  • Ensure that immediate work area is kept tidy and all waste material is appropriately disposed of, by using drip trays and bins to dispose waste / used material.
  • Carry out component replacement in accordance with TWOs and AMM instructions in liaison with LAEs to ensure successful rectification of defects is achieved in a positive manner with good teamwork.
  • Assisting and providing technical support to hangar staff in all aspects of aircraft handling during heavy movements. To ensure the smooth movement of aircraft to meet Royal Jets operation requirements with high level of safety standards without incidents.
  • Checking of Flight Spares Kit and upkeep of flight spares and replace the expired items so the Flight Spare Kit is always standard and updated.
  • Carry out daily inspections / checks IFE systems on all available aircrafts at Base .
  • Make sure safety precautions are understood and complied with, before starting the job.
  • Ensure that immediate work area is kept tidy and all waste material is appropriately disposed of, by using drip trays and bins to dispose waste / used material.
  • To ensure that all work carried out is correctly certified by appropriate engineer and productive time is accurately recorded by the end of each job
  • Ensure that all tools and test equipment used during maintenance is returned to the Tool Crib reporting on their serviceability or un serviceability status .
  • Skills

  • Formal basic aircraft maintenance training or equivalent
  • Sound technical background.
  • Avionics System knowledge Level I
  • Sound awareness of safety procedures
  • Knowledge of working with AMMs, IPCs, WDMs
  • Preferable ICAO Type II AME License
  • Basic courses in Avionics systems e.g. Electrical / Instruments

  • Atleast 3-5 years aircraft maintenance experience in Avionics.
