Sous Chef to join one of its restaurant Marina Social by Jason Atherton .

The acclaimed Michelin-starredBritish chef Jason Atherton, who is Gordon Ramsay’s former protégé, has sincegone on to reach the same level as his master internationally and has launchedhis own restaurant group, The Social Company.

In September 2015, Jasonopened Marina Social. It’s his first Social’ restaurant in Dubai and is astunning waterside restaurant.

It has an open kitchen serving aBritish-Mediterranean inspired menu of tapas-style dishes and an open dessertbar that allows guests to watch and interact with the chefs during their diningexperience.

Qualifications

The challenging role of Junior Sous Chef should be able todemonstrate at least 2 years’ experience within F&B operations in a modern vibeBritish-

Mediterranean restaurant with a proven track record in workingon your way up to your current position.

Itis also essential that you have excellent technical culinary skills aswell as a good command of the English language (verbal and written).

Youwill also have an experience of working in a multicultural environment.

  • The position has responsibilities andessential job functions including but are not limited to ensure the consistencyin the preparation of all food items for a la carte menus according to restaurantrecipes and standards;
  • ensure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards& expectations; liaise daily with Head Chef & Restaurant GM to keepopen lines of communication regarding guest feedback;
  • maintain and enhance thefood products through creative menu development and presentation; and have fullknowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.

  • Ideally, to successfully fillthis role, you should have notable skills & experience in internationalcuisine, Italian & Mediterranean cuisines;
  • ability to work well underpressure in a fast paced environment, work cohesively with fellow colleagues aspart of a multi-national team.
