Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Meeting & Events section, as a business unit, as per the standards and procedures, in order to achieve departmental goals, in terms of guest satisfaction, and financial targets.
Coordinate day to day operations of M&E department to obtain maximum profit and guest satisfaction.
Represents the management whenever dealing with guest and take appropriate actions to provide optimum service to our customers.
Responsible to maximize M&E room space occupancy and manage M&E space availability.
Prepare sale offers for M&E including (in coordination with AF&BM, F&BM, and Executive Chef) : wedding, private function, cocktails, parties and any event which does require more than 10 rooms.
Liaison with sales department to ensure that the client's requirements are satisfactorily met and if possible exceeded.
Identify and solve problems in a timely fashion
Great each function organizers on arrival, review the BEO daily and ensure that their requests are dealt with manner.
Ensure that rooms / function spaces are set-up according to the guest expectation and M&E event order. Conduct pre-function meetings with scheduled staff and review all information pertinent day by day functions.
Inspect scheduled function areas / rooms, table set-ups, bar set-ups, buffet tables, receptions and coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness, and proper layout.
Perform efficiently within the designated time frame.
Follow up problems which may arise from the event order and room allocations and rectify as soon as possible.
Maintain proper administrative filling system with M&E function record, beverage consumption and other report that may need.
Controls and analyzes on an on-going basis the following : Sales, Cost, Quality and presentation of food and beverage products, service standard, condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment, Quality of entertainment, Guest Satisfaction, Marketing, Work Safety environment, OSE.
Conducts daily briefings, attend the F&B Meetings, BEO Meetings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results.
Assist F&BM / Chef in developing popular menus and beverage lists offering guests value for money in accordance with Novotel & Adagio Al Bustan and ACCOR group guidelines.
Monitors local competitors and compare their operation with the hotel Food & Beverage operation.
Maintains knowledge of trends, system, practices and equipment in food and beverage through trade literature, hotel show and site visits.
Performs related duties and special projects assigned.
Organized the manpower planning according to event and maximize job productivity.
Works with F&BM in the preparation and management of the Department's budget.
Be responsible for asset management of all M&E department property and facilities.
Be aware of the forecast and budget and where we need to fill business into open times.
Contact each organizer during each coffee break and after each function to ensure satisfaction.
Conduct daily training for M&E service team and part time employee serving and set-up equipment.
Responsible to maintain the overall welfare of M&E service team by providing them with the training & resources to take care of our guests.
Increases sales through his / her innovative and creative approach and reliable advice.
Promotes the Outlet's special offers at all time.
Keeps a close track of what the competition is doing and gather market intelligence.
Gets involved in sales activities such as : blitz, sales calls, trade shows. etc.
Participate actively in M&E strategy and sales.
