We are searching for an energetic, innovative and seasoned actuarial manager to join the Finance team supporting the geographies across the MENA region.

The role reports to the MENA CFO, managing a team of 2 actuarial analysts, and will work in close collaboration with the Regional Actuary.

Job Description

  • Produce statutory and US GAAP reserve estimates, as per regulatory and corporate reporting requirements;
  • Implement usage of AiREAS in MENA, understand the tool, its requirement and re-design actuarial process accordingly if required.
  • Assist in Asset Liability Management processes by calculating expected cash flows
  • Work closely with Claims, Reinsurance and Underwriting teams to understand how reserving practices, treaty set up and business changes impact our business
  • Collaborate with Finance Managers and assist on the production oflegal entity and production office loss ratios for business planning purposes, capital modelling, etc,

  • Provide insightful analytics to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Coordinate and ensure consistency in approach and execution of reserve reviews including data production, modeling and presentation of results across geographies
  • Lead a team of 2 analysts, mentoring and coaching,
  • Support in any project or ad-doc requirements as needed
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related areas required
  • Associate or Fellowship qualification
  • 10 years of working experience in the P&C insurance industry
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
  • Team Player ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and align objectives and recommendations through quantitative analysis
  • Experienced in people’s management;
  • Ability to navigate through complexity.
  • Critical thinking, execution skills
  • Excellent command of English language, written and spoken
