What this job involves
The role is responsible for IFM HSBC Account Operations Management. The Regional Director - Operations drives the business by managing all functional and operational responsibility and contributing to the strategic growth of the business.
This role is the key number two role in the regional account structure working in close partnership with the Regional Director.
The Regional Director Operations is integral to supporting the Regional Director to drive and deliver a high level of client satisfaction, establishing and managing the service delivery team, delivering key regional initiatives as well as ensuring global consistency in processes, systems and reporting.
The role also ensures efficient and consistent operation of all facility management activities to meet contractual obligations with respect to the property portfolio of the Client throughout the region, achieving the Client’s regional outsourcing objectives of cost savings, consistency and risk management.
Overall Role and Responsibilities
Manage Regional Functional Leads / Subject Matter Experts (SME) work streams to support the delivery teams across the region
Ensure consistent reporting and coordination regionally and to the global team
Using data to drive strategic decisions
Support the Regional Director to drive and achieve goals and objectives including P&L, risk, energy targets and the account SLAs & KPIs for the account
Coordination with global functional leads to ensure the delivery of account objectives
Work directly with sub-regional hub and / or country leads and be a contact point for any account related issues, provide training, and to provide support in issue resolution.
Work with the Regional Director in defining the regional account strategy
Work with global and region in defining the goals and objectives for the Regional Functional Leads
Represent IFM - HSBC in the internal and external networking forums and client functions
Financial Management / Cost Control / Profitability
Lead the Operational review process and facilitate the provision of accurate financial and commercial management information to the account Regional Director, along with regional IFM management and the global account executive team as required on a monthly basis.
In conjunction with IFM Finance Leads, support the preparation of accurate budgets and forecasts
Manage and control the account P&L with the Finance Leads to achieve the business financial objectives.
Client / Stakeholder Management
Develop strong relationships with key personnel in the HSBC organization
Ensure close contact is established with client organizations to remain abreast of current strategy, thinking, policies and procedures
Work with regional Human Resources lead on recruitment and selection strategies
Work with Regional Director and global SMEs in defining and driving the performance management of staff
Work with regional Human Resources to develop region specific training and skills development programs and ensure the global training targets are met
Ensure succession plans are in place for key personnel in the regional team and coordinate same for all client service delivery staff through the management team
Senior Management Team Responsibilities
Active participation or representation in all in-Country IFM management meetings
To identify issues and assess problems using a logical and rational approach and develop options and strategies to resolve
Organize regular operational meeting to ensure the SMEs and hub / country leads are aligned
Organize regular forums for networking and engagement for senior regional management

Experience in a senior account leadership role responsible for complex account structure running teams across multiple countries and / or multiple teams (ideally large country or small cross-
country account experience, looking for next level of responsibility with a large, complex account)
Strong general management experience - minimum of 15 years in the business and operations, preferably experience in Facilities Management
Six Sigma & process re-engineering experience preferred
Proven track record in generating growth through business development
Qualifications in Engineering or relevant field preferred but not essential
