This role will be hired on outsourced payroll through a third party company. The role will have a direct line reporting to the Head of Employee Relations.

To begin with, this is a temporary opportunity for six months. It may or may not extend further depending on company requirement.

Job Description

  • To provide timely and accurate advice on employee relations issues, HR policies and local labour law practices.
  • To mediate conflict, to conduct employee investigations, to conduct disciplinary hearings always remaining impartial, confidential, fair and professional
  • ER Case management, ensuring the cases are tracked, maintain ER metrics and reports, plus ensuring the outcome of each case is compliant, fair, consistent with business priorities, local labour law and adhering to the Al-Futtaim values.
  • Must be able to make recommendations for corrective and disciplinary action.
  • To act as a translator in employee grievance or appeal hearings.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of employee relations and HR policies.
  • Have a good understanding of the various functional areas within HR and their role / importance.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Essential to have computer proficiency in the use of word processing and spread sheets for documentation and presentations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must want to help others and be empathetic, caring, calm and compassionate.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Must be organised and efficient.
  • Ability to analyze and concisely explain verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task within a demanding environment.
  • Must have the ability to manage conflict and seek conflict resolution.
  • Eligibility Criteria

    The incumbent must have solid experience and knowledge of UAE labour laws and should have worked in an HR area closely linked with above acitivities.
