Faculty provide effective Aviation Maintenance Engineering Technology instruction in Aeronautical Engineering Technology, Airframe and Aeroengines and Aircraft Maintenance.
Curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and their traditions.
Faculty play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-
curricular events at the College and within the community.
Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience.
To be considered for an adjunct position, candidates must reside in the UAE and be able to provide the HCT with a 'no objection certificate' (referred to as an NOC letter) from your visa sponsor.
Adjunct faculty are paid monthly for credit hours.
In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an Aviation related field is required or
An applicable Airframe or Engine AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) license or military equivalent in a current or valid for renewal status is required
A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of aviation industry teaching / training experience in the Airframes and Aeroengine areas including instruction / examination knowledge at different levels (A and B1.
1 licence level) or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant aviation industrial experience
Practical ability in aircraft systems (inspecting / testing / troubleshooting)
Has completed an Instructional Techniques course with a thorough understanding of training procedures equivalent to EASA or GCAA CAR 147 & 66 requirements
Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards
Effective presentation skills, both theoretical and practical
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology
Good hands-on practical knowledge
Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues
Evidence of a personal professional development plan with membership to an internationally recognized professional association being preferred
The ability to function as a team player within a multi-cultural work environment
Overseas teaching / training experience to non-native English speakers is desirable
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
