The Marketing Communications Manager, under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Communications is responsible for the public relations of the Hotels, both Shangri-
La and Traders Hotel Abu Dhabi, in accordance to the hotel's market positioning as well as corporate brand identity and distribution.
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Marketing and Collateral Development
Coordinates and executes Hotel and F&B printed materials.
Provides copy for all Marketing, F&B and SPA promotions
Controls quantity and inventory of all Hotel marketing collateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.
Assists in the production of all property, F&B display, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.
Promotes collection of competitor’s collateral and publicity on a monthly basis.
Manages the execution of F&B, Spa and Health Club direct marketing activities.
Verifies all collateral is as per brand standard guidelines.
Media Relations and Visual Asset management
Act as point of contact for local and international media
Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier travel / trade, business, consumer press and bloggers.
Secure regular meetings with editors & proactively pitch relevant news.
Maintain a database of key media contacts in local and global markets.
Organise and host inbound international media groups and individual visits.
Writes and distributes all press releases for property events, promotions, and outlets.
Manages the execution of hotel sponsored events, community / government relations activities, and press promotional activities.
Internal Communication - Create articles on hotel activities and events, PR success stories and PR trends to inform staff and celebrate achievements.
Verifies the news clippings and other online, print, and social media mention report is completed on a monthly basis for property distribution.
Assists and manages the development, co-ordination and execution of all communications activities with a strong emphasis on property F&B, SPA, Rooms promotions and campaigns.
Supports communications duties and functions as deemed necessary.
Keeps abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends.
Handles job assigned by Director of Communications and coordination with relevant departments of the hotel is necessary.
Seeks for high-end sponsorship to enhance the hotel’s packages and promotions.
Minimum 2 years experience within a 5 Star hotel in a similar position
Expertise in the field of media and promotions
Fluent in written and spoken English & Arabic is an advantage
Experience in drafting and distributing press releases
A natural communicator & Graphic Design skills will be an advantage
