You can rely on us to support you as you settle into your journey with us and make Jumeirah Your Place to Shine’. About the Job : An exciting role has arisen in the Engineering at Mina A Salam Hotel for a highly motivated and hardworking individual.

The main purpose of this position is responsible for running the engineering stores, maintaining stock levels and control receiving and issuing of items through Prisma.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Time Check / Attendance system is up to date and all issues are sorted with the Human Resources Department.
  • Responsible for the collation of nominees for the Colleague of the Month program and sending the same to the Human Resources Department.
  • Ensuring all the filing in the department is up to date and filed correctly
  • Ensuring the documentation room is maintained correctly and is uncluttered at all times.
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require
  • To provide Personal Assistance / Secretarial work to the Chief Engineer
  • Liaise with Human Resources, Training and Business Excellence department
  • Preparation of Agendas. Taking minutes of meetings and distribution.
  • Brief new joiners with references made on the Colleagues Commencement Sheet’ as outlined by Human Resources Department.
  • Assist in the appraisal process (Annual / Performance Review).
  • Coordinate the maintenance of holiday and lieu hours’ records for all Engineering staff.
  • Assist in preparation Polices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and forms for all Engineering activities as required by Business Excellence Department.
  • Ensure all Jumeirah Group Policies and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
  • Raising and follow up of Purchase Requests though the Market Boomer system.
  • Receiving items through Purchase Orders only and ensuring that they meet the quality requirements as specified in the Order.
  • Storing of the received items in a proper and logical order.
  • Issue of stock to colleagues only on the basis of a work order and the form duly authorized by a Team Leader.
  • Doing regular inventories to ensure the correctness of the stock in hand.
  • Ensure all documentation used is controlled and the correct version
  • Preparation of Sole Source justifications & Purchase Justification forms and submission of the same to the Coordinator for further approvals.
  • Preparation of MSDS sheets of hazardous items in stock at the end of the month and same to be submitted to the Coordinator.
  • Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
  • Qualifications

    About You : The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

  • Must have a Diploma in Engineering or High School graduate and at least 2 years’ experience as store keeper or Administrator in Engineering Department, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Must able to communicate effectively in English, Additional languages are desirable (especially Arabic).
  • Must have operating knowledge of Adaco , Micros & Microsoft Office applications
