Project Manager - IT Infrastructure Projects

Job Description

To complete project planning, resource and budget management and overall project administration in alignment with the business and PMO framework in order to deliver major / highly complex information technology projects that are part of the strategic, key technology direction within specific business functional area

Project Management

Create project plans, schedules and milestones and manage deliverables in high priority, medium or strategic level for respective functional area in order to deliver technology enabling change initiative projects

Establish and manage project communication on project costs, scope and timelines in order to provide regular updates to key stakeholders on ongoing projects and initiatives

Use project management tools and techniques and maintain documents and reports associated with projects in order to meet required project management procedures and practices

Manage project resources, coordinate project activities, including vendor resources and manage transition from

project to production to ensure successful handover to production support team

Budget Management

Support Infrastructure teams in developing detailed business cases in coordination with business and other supporting units in order to secure CEC approval for initiatives

Manage and track the costing for each project as per the guidelines of the Navigate Framework in order to ensure delivered within the bank’s policies and procedures

Relationship Management

Coordinate with project managers / team leaders and key stakeholders resolving concerns about the impact of the project on their area of responsibility in order to gain their commitment to the overall project objectives

Vendor Management

Manage vendors, develop or modify vendor service level agreements as required in order to meet the needs of system implementation and enhancements

Establish and operate a vendor evaluation process to ensure that product selection and on-going vendor support are adequate for the needs of the bank

Market Research

Conduct market research, review industry trends, emerging, technologies and techniques in order to make recommendations and suggestions for areas of improvement for the bank

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders

Professional Qualifications

Certification in CAPM (Certified Association in Project Management)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional);
  • PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)

    PMI RMP (Risk Management Professional)

    Knowledge and Skills

    Working knowledge and experience of banking operations

    Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks

    Written and spoken English

    Influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills

    Planning and analytical skills
