The purpose of this role is to ensure that Air Arabia strictly complies with crewing requirements as determined by routes, types of aircraft and within GCAA Regulations.
Key responsibilities :
Contributes to preparing, amending, updating and publishing cost-effective rostering plans to accommodate G9 and Hubs crewing needs;
coordinates with Supervisor / Manager on any changes and acts accordingly.
Supports in implementing related policies and operating procedures; applies the set of standards and measures to comply with commercial, quality, and regulatory bodies’ requirements within the workplace.
Plans and prepares crew pairings based on the commercial plan and recommends changes so that optimum crew utilization is achieved;
ensures adherence to and compliance with Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS) standards and requirements throughout the entire process.
Prepares the daily duty sheet considering crew compliments, GCAA regulations and requirements of languages for all flights operated by Air Arabia.
Reviews the rosters for any errors or FDP / Crew violations by running relevant reports on CESAR prior to Supervisor / Manager’s approvals.
Communicates to Flight / Cabin crew the corresponding rostering schedules as per adopted procedures ensuring they are notified and updated with any amendments to their published rosters on time.
Executes new flights loading based on the agreed parameters and target hours in CESAR monthly; updates the CESAR with accurate crew and flight data, including exclusions, and timely plans the ALV (Average Line Value) for the year to follow.
Maintains a current database of required documents (licenses, certificates, qualifications, etc.) to secure up-to-date controlled validity of licenses and flight crew compliance with mandatory regulations.
Responds to changes and business needs timely and efficiently especially during emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios; recommends and executes effective solutions and alternate plans during flight disruptions ensuring optimum utilization of crew.
Demonstrates flexibility and support to crew members by responding to reasonable requests for absence, and changes based on sickness, emergency leave, flight delays, etc.

Coordinates replacements of rescheduled crew in an efficient manner in coordination with crew planning and control and operations control center team to ensure successful and cost-effective results.
Monitors the Flight / Cabin crew duty and training rosters and attendance to ensure strict and prompt adherence to schedules and to the GCAA regulations and Air Arabia operating procedures.
Updates the expiry dates for licenses and trainings in due time in order to achieve legality of crew.
Employs skills and knowledge to continuously recommend changes and enhancement on the rostering practices, process flow, and systems and achieve optimum error-
free resources utilization.
Protects the sanctity and confidentiality of the planned roster to the maximum.
Processes flights crewing related expenditure, credit hours, payroll, allowances, payments and invoices, reconciliations with Hubs all in line with approved budget and set standards;
highlights irregularities to supervisor / manager whenever needed.
Generates function related reports monthly / yearly such as productivity, safety, and fatigue reports to support the Operations department requirements.
Provides on-going support to the Flight Crew and Chief Pilot to assist them achieve their goals.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Management / Math or equivalent from a recognized university is highly desirable for this role; alternately, a diploma in a related field (aviation, aeronautical engineering, and management) is acceptable if combined with necessary working experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling a crew scheduling role for cockpit or cabin crews.
Expert level proficiency in using crew scheduling software is essential.
Candidates having worked in Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) will be preferred
Must have appropriate knowledge of the legal requirements of GCAA and other relevant regulatory bodies.
High level of computer proficiency is essential.
Must possess effective communication and decision making skills.
