Vertex Aerospace has been providing International Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Solutions since moving its headquarters to Madison, MS in 1989.

In anticipation of contract award, Vertex is seeking experienced professionals to support Aviation Services at our United Arab Emirates Headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Contingent positions are available immediately in the following specialty

The Program Cost Schedule Control analyst is required to monitor, evaluate, analyze and control the financial performance of the program assigned.

Reports directly to the Business Manager but has accountability to the Program Management staff. Position has extensive contact with individuals inside and outside the organization

The primary functions of a Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst and which can be performed without direct supervision include :

  • Manages and ensure compliance within the terms and conditions of a cost-type Federal Government contract;
  • Develop Program Management Financials, Cost Reports, and Budgets;
  • Preparation, reconciliation, and submission of government reports;
  • Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government;
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed upon parameters and government cost control guidelines;
  • Provide Governmental Regulatory and Special Reports as required;
  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks;
  • Participates in the preparation of budgets, payrolls, and pre-auditing functions as necessary;
  • Reviews accounts for coding errors and reasonableness;
  • Prepare and review supplemental financial reports on a monthly basis;
  • Assists in the development, execution, and control of program EAC's;
  • Coordinates and prepares financial information needed for Program Management;
  • Ensures accuracy of all financial reports distributed to management and outside parties;
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts;
  • Directs preparation of annual budgeting process, including monthly expense and capital budgets by Program;
  • Ensures monthly budget reports are provided to each budget location manager;
  • Coordinate and provide variance explanations for all budget variances;
  • Develop key business indicators to assist Program Management in measuring program performance;
  • Monitors compliance with Area Wage Determinations and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Familiarity with government contracting, billing functions, general journal entries, and cost monitoring;
  • FAR and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) government regulation knowledge a plus.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • Other projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Physical Requirements : Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;
  • transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation of machines (including inspection);
  • using measurement devices; and / or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft.

    At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

    Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat / cold.

    Must be able to communicate effectively.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and 4 years of related experience; OR Education / Experience Equivalent
  • Familiarity in content and preparation of U.S. Government Reports a plus.
  • Direct experience managing Federal Government contracts
  • SAP knowledge (or other ERP) system experience is critical for the success of the position.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft EXCEL required.
  • Strong file management and organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
  • The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must adhere to Company policies / procedures and management instruction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
