MillenniumPlaza Hotel Dubai is on Sheikh Zayed Road, facing Dubai International FinancialCenter and close to the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The hotel is 22 minutes’ drive from Dubai International Airport and directlyaccessible to the Emirates Towers Metro Station.

The 65storey tower offers 398 modern and spacious rooms and suites, with viewsof Dubai overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road, Zabeel Palace and Jumeirah Beach from 26th till 61st floor.

The hotel's four restaurants andcafé serve a variety of cuisines from International to Arabic specialties.

Otherfacilities include the Club Lounge, Business Center, Health Club and Spa. Theinfinity swimming pool gives views of Jumeirah Beach and the Arabian Sea.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Manager you are responsible to lead thepurchasing department and perform all the tasks as per the required standards.

Execute all the purchasing requests and your role will include keyresponsibilities such as :

  • Manage alladministrative functions of the Materials Department, inclusive of staffing,training and fulfilment of other related duties
  • Maintain logicalstoreroom inventory levels operationally needed
  • Oversee overall hygiene,fire and safety, proper storing arrangement, cleanliness of storerooms andfreezers according to corporate, local and international Standards
  • Inform management anddepartment heads on pending items, new procedures, system difficulties andother related matters
  • Obtain written approvalfor established stock levels by the Director of Finance and General Manager
  • Issue regularly slow-moving item lists
  • Ensure validity of itemsare available, force issue obsolete items and follow up on action taken fordisposal
  • Verify that alldocumentation and proper quotations are maintained and filed according toMillennium Policy and Procedure requirements
  • Degree inmerce or diploma in business studies or certification in purchasing and supply
  • 2-3 years previous expertise in the Hotel and Cateringindustry in similar role.
  • Good knowledge of MS office and Materials Managementsoftware (MMS)
