You as the MEA Regional Sales Manager Digital Substations, will be a part of the Power Grids division which is a global leader in power projects and will be based in Dubai, UAE.

The Power Grids division delivers solutions across the power value chain. This includes system solutions for power generation, transmission technologies, substations and distribution technologies for network management.

Tasks :

Your main responsibilities will include : -

  • Development and implementation of the BU strategies & initiatives throughout the region by acting as main driver of the marketing and sales efforts for Digital Substations.
  • Understand market dynamics and drivers for Digital Substation opportunities.
  • Support the local Sales teams in training programs specific to Digital Substations (to identify training needs of technical sales skills of the local sales team and to implement adequate training actions) as required.
  • Work together with HBU M&S, LPG, MarCom for planning and implementation of customer events / trade shows in the Country as well as the overall sales support material (brochures, catalogues, price lists, sales guides and Customer arguments).
  • Ensure proper channel management & coordination with various business units (System or Product Package offering, offers to competitor EPCs).
  • In case of indirect exports ensure proper coordination and support of relevant PGGI unit around the world.
  • In line with Local Sales Team strategy, manage and develop appropriate relationships with customers and the key accounts in the region.
  • Initiate and drive the capture team process for key pursuits and manage and coordinate the Risk review process as required.
  • Assure proposals are developed and approved (Tender quality) to ensure negotiations can proceed on time.
  • Produce monthly and / or ad-hoc reports as requested by the BU / HBU M&S and participate in the budget process as required.
  • Requirements :

    Ideally you should have an Engineering degree (with preference in Electrical) with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.

    Sound knowledge and experience in system offering with strong secondary / automation background beneficial. Familiar with IEC requirements in particular IEC 61850-

    9-2 and experience in cross BU collaboration, coordination and in handling difficult negotiations is required.

    You should be competent in all MS Office, particularly confident with MS Excel & Power Point with excellent written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills.

    Team work, good people relationship and leadership is expected for this role.
