Description

Responsible in managing all aspects of prospect development from pre-sale through close. This includes developing referral sources, identifying new clients that match the Marsh client profile, and ensuring a consistent flow of new revenue for the practice

Responsibilities :

  • Identifies, qualifies and sells / expands new business with target organizations to achieve or exceed annual goals
  • Builds effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the target organizations
  • Uses a highly consultative approach to setup sales meetings and conduct face to face meetings with prospects
  • Organizes and executes a multi-faceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospects
  • Participates in professional organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain pipelines and to obtain prospects
  • Understands the short and long-term needs and challenges of prospects and how Marsh value proposition and industry best practices can assist in solving their problems, improve their competitive position and move their business forward
  • Works closely with a team of consultants and analysts to collaboratively develop solutions that will move prospects through the sales process and win the sale
  • Proficient in and a champion of the tools and processes, sales effectiveness techniques and best practices
  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential
  • Ability to engage in client-focused critical thinking
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate resourcefulness
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience and / or Benefits industry experience required
  • Successful business to business sales experience (professional services and / or Employee Benefits preferred) including experience selling to executive / senior level
  • Ability to learn, understand and champion sales process / campaigns, and value proposition
  • Sales & Client / Carrier Relationship Management
