The main purpose of this position is to guide and monitor team of colleagues to consistently deliver Laundry services for the hotel guests and uniform room services to hotel colleagues as per established Jumeirah standards. Main Duties :
Report to duties on time with complete uniform.
Accountable for all related administrative tasks and responsibilities for MJ Laundry
Support with creation and implementation of new administrative projects
Record and control payroll matters for the department
Record colleague’s monthly summary of training hours
Track Team Leaders productivity
Update lieu hours and PH on a daily basis and maintain attendance tracking
Responsible for raising Purchase Requests (ADACO) and maintaining required supplies for the operation
Accepting and recording all the deliveries required for the department operation
Implement and support cost saving strategies and projects
Assist in the building of an efficient team of colleagues by taking active interest in their welfare, safety and development
Liaise with other departments, most specially with Human Capital , Accounts and Finance
Responsible in raising orders of OPEX and CAPEX.
Organize department meetings and events
Training and Quality :
Ensures all colleagues are trained and able to practise laundry skills to produce established quality of production.
Monitors CSI results; proposes and implements measures to maintain and achieve high scores.
Assists administrators by providing up to date report on laundry production with regards to cost incurred by various departments.
Ensures all HS&E records are well kept and updated as per the hotel standard.
Raises purchase orders for uniforms and other supplies.
Generates production and supply consumption reports monthly.
About you : The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications : Experience :
Minimum 1-2 years experience working with a hotel Laundry or Housekeeping.
Has a minimum 6 months experience as a HK desk operator Laundry clerk.
Intermediate level Microsoft word and Excel.
Able to communicate effectively in written business English.
Able to communicate in English, written and verbal.
Able to work efficiently with Excel, Power Point and word on pc
Skilled in written communication using E-mails. Familiar with Jumeirah E mail etiquette.
