1. Job Purpose :
To identify, underwrite and manage a profitable book of business under the direction and guidance of the MENA EER Underwriting leader for Construction, O&P and Power, in addition to achieving profitability and growth in line within EER and country business targets.
The Energy and Engineered Risk portfolio in Dubai includes underwriting responsibility for the following lines of business :
2. Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / knowledge
Qualifications and Education : Tertiary Graduate preferably with a science or engineering degree
Experience 5 years minimum relevant Energy & Engineered Risk Underwriting
Professional Insurance certification is an advantage
3. Job Accountabilities
Managing and growing the Construction, O&P, Power and Chemical portfolio of clients in MENA
Reviewing, analyzing and underwriting risks within agreed EER decision making standards, AIG guidelines, limitations, and Underwriting Authority
Development of new business opportunities together with the AIG Business Development team;
Executing EER strategic business plans to achieve profitable growth
Managing and executing production, loss ratio of the EER portfolio;
Ensuring adherence with all reporting requirements
Managing Broker / Client relationships
Liaising with Claims department and providing technical advice regarding scope of coverage, interpretation of wordings, and applications
Seeking opportunities to improve synergies and leading cross-sell initiatives with other Profit Centers;
Ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Responsibility for file preparation, accuracy and completeness on a timely basis for all new & renewal submissions
Assisting in forecasting anticipated production and budgetary metrics

Competent in English language, both spoken and written.
Good interpersonal skills with an ability to establish trust and effective working relationships both internally and externally
Adept with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
