The Commis 1 is responsible in maintaining high standards of food preparation and efficient service according to the standards set by the hotel when handling food.
The key responsibilities of the position are as follows but not limited to :
Ensures consistency and highest quality of food taste, temperature and presentation.
Ensures the quality and cleanliness of all food displays with maximum creativity.
Knowledgeable of food service techniques and menu contents.
Awareness of the hotel fire and safety and emergency procedures.
Maintains a professional and friendly attitude towards guests during engagement.
Offering assistance to fellow colleagues when required during general operations in the kitchen.
Maintains strict control on food portioning and wastage, ensuring gross food profitability.
Acquainted and familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observes the safety precautions when handling them.
Practices the hygiene and sanitation procedures set by the hotel.
Ensures a clean, professional appearance according to hotel grooming standards.
1+ years experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel. preferably Thai or Vietnamese
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Apprenticeship or College Level with basic / intermediate knowledge of Food Hygiene.
Passion for delivering highest levels of guest service.
Has pleasant and cheerful presonality.
Ability to work long hours and shift.
