ROLE AND SCOPE :
Participates in reviewing and commenting on studies conducted by the concerned technical Divisions on design / operations facilities and engineering documents related to projects being implemented.
Performs technical evaluation of bids. (Work covers process and gas production facilities in USSC).
ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP / LATITUDE : -
ordinate technical operation aspects related to USSC facilities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
a. Operations / Maintenance Activities : -
chokes, flow measurement devices, lift curves ... etc. including diagnosing causes and recommending appropriate actions,
ii) Analyses results of peiformance tests of production facilities, analyses data such as, temperature, pressure, flows, utilities & chemical consumption,
maintenance failures, highlights problems and recommends economical / sound solutions to achieve Company's output objectives,
iii) Compiles and analyses data of Gas system feeding / leaving Umm-Shaif Supercomplex for performance measures,
iv) Performs process calculations e.g. mass, energy, balance ... etc. across units and equipment, highlights and recommends remedial
measures for any abnormalities,
v) Makes relevant calculations to forecast deterioration of equipment peiformance to alert site personnel for advance actions,
vi) Participates in the operations facilities audit activities as and when required.
b. Technical Input / Projects Activities : -
comparison of bidders technical information with Company's tender specifications, seeking technical clarification, suggesting specifications revision, etc.
and submits technical report to Supervisor,
ii) Studies and comments on engineering documents of major projects,
iii) Participates in various engineering studies such as; risk assessment studies, HAZOP, HAZID, PHSER reviews at various stages of different projects, as assigned by Supervisor,
iv) Reviews / participates in the preparation of contractors scope of work for various / specialised projects,
v)Participates in the preparation of detailed scope of specific projects and other major studies petformance tests ... etc.
c. Co-ordination Role : -
i) Co-ordinates operational problems raised by site personnel with various Departments / Divisions and follows-up until rectification,
ii) Co-ordinates with concerned Divisions / Departments and reviews the evaluation and selection of new chemicals,
iii) Co-ordinates as job officer, inputs from specialists / engineers, site, safety as appropriate and prepares an action plan for implementation.
d. HSE Role : -
i) Ensures fall awareness and compliance with HSEM system,
ii) PetformsCTA / Risk Assessments. Near Miss Analysis and environmental control.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
a. B.Sc. in Chemical or Process Engineering.
b. 6 years experience in operations and technical services for oil / petrochemical production / processing plants. in an oil or oil related industry with knowledge of PC operation.
c. Good knowledge of English language.
