Function

The Asst. Reservations Manager will provide supervision, direction and leadership in the Reservations Department in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards supportive of the brand.

The candidate is fully conversant in all Reservation Sales Agent and Reservation coordinator tasks, is enthusiastic about the hotel, displays a willingness to learn, pro-

actively develops the Reservations Team and has a focus on Customer Satisfaction and promotes the desired work culture around.

It is not the intent of this job description to cover all aspects of the position but to highlight the most important areas of responsibility.

  • Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
  • Prepare duty roster, and ensure proper staffing at all times.
  • Prepare daily attendance records.
  • Be accountable for the proper handling of telephone reservations, correspondence pertaining to both F.I.T. and group reservations
  • Handle all guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully.
  • Ensure that communication with other departments, notably Credit, Sales, Concierge, Housekeeping, Front Desk and any other concerned department is maintained with information which pertains to them.
  • Ensure that the arrival lists are being checked and followed up on properly.
  • Complete follow through of no-show and late cancellation charges
  • Ensures that Guest History is updated and acted upon accordingly
  • Clarify duties and responsibilities of reservations colleagues and ensure that work processes are in a logical order
  • Ensure that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures of MOHG are properly understood and followed through
  • Perform all aspects of colleague and training functions, including hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, coaching, and training etc.
  • Ensure and maintain a very high standard of personal hygiene, behavior and grooming standards of staff
  • Handle all guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully
  • Ensure that the Legendary Service Training manual is continuously updated, maintained and used effectively
  • Cooperate and coordinate teamwork with other departments
  • Ensure group blocks, rooming lists and all related arrangements are being updated correctly.
  • Give staff briefings.
  • Act as Reservations Manager in his / her absence.
  • Perform all aspects of colleague and training functions, including hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, coaching, and training etc.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head.
