Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager :

  • Plans and executes HR initiatives and programs that support business objectives.
  • Executes HR systems and processes including acting as a liaison with legal counsel to ensure compliance with Federal / State and country laws.
  • Oversees new employee orientation and termination procedures.
  • Oversees and coordinates recruitment and retention activities to retain employees and reduce turnover.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates;
  • addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Manages department members that may include but is not limited to : Training Specialist and Training Manager.
  • Reviews and updates policy handbooks.
  • Monitors and makes recommendations on performance appraisal process.
  • Advises and assists management in carrying out their responsibilities with personnel matters.
  • Develops and directs the activities within the dept to provide leadership and communication to instill and sustain an effective and motivated team environment.
  • Participates in transition teams with regards to orientating and training new properties.
  • Oversees relocation matters.
  • Creates and deploys best practices’ as they relate to human resources for all employees.
  • Coaches and counsels management on workplace behavioral issues (such as discipline, sexual harassment investigations, etc.)
  • Provides HR training to management team and HR team.
  • Assist in the coordination of Employee Relations activities (summer picnics, etc.).
  • Provide accurate information and answers to general inquiries from employees and outside vendors.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.Minimum Qualifications for the Human Resources Manager :
  • Bachelor’s degree and seven to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • and four to six years previous management experience. Must have basic knowledge of UAE Labor law pertaining to employment.Other Qualifications :

  • Professional Human Resources Certified is preferred.
  • Possess supervisory and management skills to communicate and express ideas and directives clearly to associates
  • Must have the ability to deal with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers (including applicants and vendors).

  • Possess basic computational ability.
  • Ability to assess / evaluate associates performance fairly.
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and / or information to improve new practices or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and / or golf course guests and members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Possess a high level of accuracy and neatness.
  • Ability to respond to guest requests and business volume quickly and efficiently.
  • Possess above average level of accuracy and neatness.
  • Maintain positive communication with all departments.
  • Knowledge of golf and competitive market.
  • Possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR issues and communications.
