Play Your Part

In this role you will be responsible to support specialist and technical consultant who will facilitate implementation, monitor performance, audit compliance and review the application of programs and management system on Food Safety & Hygiene, with the end in mind of complying to the requirements of applicable laws and regulations and management system for food safety and hygiene (ISO 22001) and that of worldwide accepted practice on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) at Bollywood Parks, Dubai and Motiongate, Dubai.

Main Duties :

Enforce the system of food safety and hygiene and requirements of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point at delivery, food handling, preparation, production, service, outlets and other areas of the parks.

Conduct hazard analysis, identification of critical points and limits across the food and distribution process, regularly.

Provide technical support and other forms of advice to different Food & Beverage and Culinary Teams in order to comply with the requirements of the management system and regulatory agencies.

Support the Asst. Manager- FSH in conducting independent spot checks and food safety inspections at different areas, report the findings to management and concerned colleagues and require them to do action and improvement plans to correct the findings.

Conduct investigation on food safety complaints and other related incident reports and facilitate the creation and implementation of appropriate action plans.

Perform necessary recordkeeping and documentation procedures required.

Create, implement and maintain, policies, internal standards, standard operational procedures, forms and instructions in relation to FSH processes and operation.

Participate in the regular compliance and system audits (internal and external) and management review of food safety management system across the parks together with the internal audit team, external consultant and certifying body.

Adopt a proactive and pre-emptive approach on the occurrences of FSH-related incidents by analyzing and introducing / launching interventions in the form of programs, trainings, policies, SOPs, process modification and other forms of interventions.

In coordination with the Asst. Manager FSH, create and introduce new programs and practices in relation to FSH adhering to the concept of continual improvement.

Support the immediate line manager in identifying training needs and facilitate / conduct trainings related to Food Safety & Hygiene and assist in maintaining required competency levels of the colleagues involved in food handling.

Provide technical, administrative and other supports to other sections of the department, such as medical services, environment and health and safety.

With the Asst. Manager, create SMART objectives and plans for FSH annually where performance will be based on the achievement of the set objectives.

Establish and conduct regular meeting within the department in order to keep the colleagues updated with tasks at hand and future plans.

Adhere to all DPR policies and procedures with regards to grooming guidelines, business ethics, conflict of interest, use of company properties and other provided facilities, and the rest of company policies not mentioned herein.

Other special related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Are You a Star?

In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria :

Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Food Science, Technology, Microbiology or other related science course

Auditor (Internal or Lead) in ISO 22001 / HACCP and other management systems, preferably

Adept with Dubai local and UAE Federal laws in relation to FSH

Has completed appropriate training in Food Safety such as PIC Level 3 or HACCP Level 3 or Advanced Food Safety & Hygiene

At least three years of experience in a similar role.

Experience in setting up, implementing and managing ISO 22001 Food Safety Management System or HACCP

Experience in integrated management systems (9001, 22001, OHSAS 18001, 14001)

Worked in a similar position for more than 3 years in hotel, resort, park, or similar leisure and entertainment setting.

Established good regulations with agencies and associations

Excellent management, problem solving and decision making

Skilled in Microsoft Office and database applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Proven business writing, reporting and presentation skills

Coaching, Mentoring and Training

Good interpersonal skills.

Team player and be able to perform in high pressure work environment.
