Manage the L&D team within the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) function to deliver and measure learning and development solutions that enhance employee performance aligned with business priorities.
Ensure high quality and consistent learning implementation as well as the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of learning solutions to ensure that all learning solutions fulfil business requirements, meet EFTA standards and deliver on expected learning outcomes.
Job Outline : - Business and L&D Strategy Alignment : Contribute to business strategy by ensuring that all L&D solutions are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the learner.
Provide necessary support and guidance to the designated Business Area Specialists / EFTA L&D Specialists to ensure they maintain up to date role specific knowledge and skill of the designated business area.
Support Course owners to ensure all learning solutions delivered are maintained and kept up to date as per the review timelines set in the trainer guide documentation.
Address any feedback received from audit by quality champions and ensure changes and updates are made to L&D solutions within the remit of the delivery team.
Work with the quality mentors to ensure developmental feedback is documented, tracked and progress on areas of improvement is recorded.
Maintain records of all quality observations and feedback to the team. Record all sign off documentation and observation feedback as per guidelines set by the LPM and make recommendations on future skills development paths for individuals.
Work with the LPM team to take corrective action as required when KPI's are not achieved by members of the team. Explore opportunities for synergies to cross skill across business functions / streams.
Act as a role model, manage performance and conduct, ensuring attendance and punctually standards are maintained. Ensure the skills available in the team are maintained to meet business requirements through proactive tracking and maintenance of the skills matrix.
Accountable for meeting all compliance standards for regulatory courses and the audit of all course updates completed by the course owners.
Maintain necessary version controls and archives to ensure accuracy of information on all courses delivered by the team.
Complete and report on levels 1 & 2 evaluations as per the quality standards and within stipulated timeframes. Specific Accountabilities : -
Evaluation of L&D Solutions : Monitor effectiveness of training evaluation at levels 1 - 4 ensuring L&D solutions provided to the business are fit for purpose.
Human Resources.Training : 8+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Experience in Human Resources / English Language.
Training Knowledge / skills : Degree in a relevant subject (HR, Business, Humanities). Professional T&D certification / accreditation preferred (IATA, ATD, CIPD, AHRI or equivalent).
Experience within adult learning or instructional delivery Able to understand business / performance / learning needs and deliver / evaluate effective and appropriate L&D solutions.
Solid presentation and facilitation skills, mastery of adult learning theories and principles and use of various instructional methodologies and media.
Concrete trainer-development skills. Strong coaching skills. Analytical, ability to present data and highlight impact of L&D solution to business goals.
