Vertex Aerospace has been providing International Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Solutions since moving its headquarters to Madison, MS in 1989.

In anticipation of contract award, Vertex is seeking experienced professionals to support Aviation Services at our United Arab Emirates Headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Contingent positions are available immediately in the following specialty

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING DUTIES. ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY BE IDENTIFIED BY THE ORGANIZATION AND LISTED AS SUCH IN THE INCUMBENT'S PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL ELEMENTS.

  • VARIOUS TASKS MAY BE ASSIGNED UNDER EACH ESSENTIAL FUNCTION. THOSE THAT ARE LISTED UNDER THE EXAMPLES OF WORK ARE NOT ALL INCLUSIVE;
  • THEY ARE EXAMPLES ONLY AND MAY BE AMENDED OR ADDED TO AS NEEDED BY THE ORGANIZATION.

  • Assists in contract transition.
  • Represents General Manager in his absence.
  • Provides guidance to PMO staff to meet GM’s intent.
  • Assists Program Managers in meeting GM’s intent.
  • Reviews statements of work for conformity to company policies, procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Recommends contract modifications as needed.
  • Assists in negotiation with the customer regarding technical requirements and contract performance.
  • Directs and coordinates all activities of assigned personnel for the total support of the program.
  • Confers with the leadership team in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that program activities obtain optimum use of parts, facilities and personnel.
  • Develops and implements interdepartmental programs and relations to ensure compliance with requirements for the support of the company products.
  • Reviews and analyzes expenditures, financials and performance reports to determine contractual requirements with the customer are maintained and standards are met.
  • Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinates with RAC on potential customers to stimulate program growth.
  • Approves, analyzes and determines potential contract value, the proposed schedule, and the impact on company sales and margins.
  • Oversees the coordination of support data from applicable functioning departments as necessary to ensure that the company’s capabilities, facilities, labor material, and equipment meet the solicitation requirements and are within established company guidelines / policies.
  • Evaluates current trends in the contracting industry as they impact cost proposal development and company policies and procedures.
  • Verifies that cost proposal data is coordinated with the technical proposal requirements.
  • Provides guidance to subordinate employees and peers when appropriate, collaborating and cooperating with other members of the management team.
  • Implements the performance appraisal system for employees under incumbent’s supervision.
  • Approves or disapproves subordinate employees and recommends action of corrective procedures.
  • Defines position requirements for interview, selection, discipline, and training of personnel.
  • Greets visitors and clients.
  • Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers, businesses, and coworkers.
  • Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.
  • Follows all safety procedures and practices as established by the Company and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Aviation Technology / Management or a related field AND eight (8) years of experience in work directly-

    related to Aviation Management or Government Contracting / Program Management OR Education / Experience Equivalent
