Galderma is currently seeking a Business Planning Analyst (Middle East) in its Finance department to be based in Dubai and reporting to Head of Finance MERITA.

Core Mission : The Business Planning Analyst is responsible for developing and using financial forecast systems for ME Region.

This highly analytical and technically-adept individual provides financial and budgetary forecasts for the country to Business Unit Leaders, Region Lead and Area Mgt for use in short and long-

term company financial and budgetary planning, ensuring reporting system interoperability and data integrity. Scope : He / she is the finance partner for all financial aspects in the assigned business unit (BU).

He / she provides proactive P&L management, including accurate sales and expense projections and strong operational costs controls.

He / she is a respected member of the BU leadership team, while holding the business accountable for performance, challenging appropriately and providing decision support.

Additionally, he / she supports the Head Finance to coordinates BPA activities across the unit. Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Organise and coordinate the Strategic Planning and Targeting Processes and actively participate in Operational Planning in order to establish a continuous long, mid and short term financial outlook that is in alignment with company / BU objectives and goals.
  • Design and maintain systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate advance warning for all financial results
  • Proactively carryout value-added analyses on financial data, supporting and testing information provided
  • Cost management : analyses expenses, proposes cost savings and participates in implementation of these projects, looks for ongoing optimization of resource allocation. This includes :
  • A&P spending analysis
  • Responsibility for operations accounting and control
  • Revenue management : performs ongoing margin and profitability analysis on brand, product and customer level.
  • Controls actual performance versus target and proposes necessary actions in order to correct deviations on a monthly basis.
  • Identifies, communicates and manages business risk with the Heads of Finance and BU heads.

  • Establishes an internal KPI reporting system for management purpose.
  • Supervises the preparation of pricing discussions, including official approvals
  • Responsible for the financial forecasted figures in group reporting tools for sales and expenses
  • Responsible for the forecast of the Trade receivables follow up
  • Drive continuous learning within the region by performing post-implementation financial analyses on past initiatives and sharing results across the organization
  • Ensure consistency and interoperability between different financial reporting systems
  • Skills : Education :

    Education :

  • University degree in economics, business, or related field
  • Advanced degree in business, economics, or related field preferred
  • Languages : Advanced English oral and written communication skills. Arabic is an advantage Experience :

  • Significant (5-7 years) experience in budgeting and / or controlling positions
  • Experience designing and operating financial reporting and forecasting systems
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to clearly present financial data in reports distributed to regional and global officers
