Develop and implement the strategic planning and operations framework of Emirates Aviation University (EAU). Lead EAU non-
academic staff towards its strategic objectives through engagement of all constituencies in the planning process, continuous evaluation of risks, and subsequent implementation of systems for monitoring of achievements at the unit and individual staff levels.
Ensure the effective provision of the required range of student and staff services to be delivered with high quality and benchmarked against best international practices.
Review processes and performance management policies and practices to achieve continuous improvement of programs and support services.
Job Outline - Direct the development of the overall planning and operations strategy for EAU ensuring the delivery of best practice outcomes and execution of University-
wide integrated planning processes, to achieve the University’s strategic goals. - Lead and develop the recurrent strategic planning process and subsequent development of annual operational plans in all functional units across EAU.
Coordinate and report on the monitoring of strategic objectives and annual targets in relation to both internal and external benchmarks.
Develop strategies and tools to overcome typical barriers to effective workforce planning. - Participate in managing the University budget and setting long-
term financial targets in coordination with Finance and the Vice-Chancellor’s office, to ensure business growth and compliance with sound budgeting / accounting standards and practice.
Masters Degree (12+5 or equivalent) Master degree in a relevant discipline 10+ yrs Experience at a senior level in the development of academic strategies and / or strategic initiatives including developing measurable plans.
Knowledge / skills : Extensive experience in strategic and business planning with the ability to manage large and complex projects.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis and insights.
Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that are mutually beneficial and support the achievement of business and strategic goals.
Strong project management skills to develop and follow through on projects with defined deliverables and deadlines; Good IT literacy skills and experience with the use of databases and statistical software packages.
