Air Arabia is looking for an individual to oversee, manage and provide all activities concerned with the development and airworthiness of the Aircraft Systems.
This will include the development of the airline’s fleet and the management of the airworthiness to support its continuing operations.
The role will encompass safety, compliance, reliability and development of the fleet in relation to the aircraft systems.
This role is responsible for providing development support of the aircraft systems to increase both operational dispatch and aircraft reliability, reducing costs and achieving greater aircraft utilization whist maintaining the highest safety standards and compliance to all regulations both internal and external.
The role is also considered fundamental as a liaison role within the Engineering / Maintenance / QA / Flight operations units and within the OEM groups.
Key responsibilities :
Ensuring that the aircraft systems programme is controlled managed and developed as required by the continuous airworthiness requirements of the regulator and OEM
Ensuring that the systems continued airworthiness assessment programme is maintained in an optimized condition for the Air Arabia operation
Working with data from both the aircraft / systems and review it each month to ensure that the data is captured in a form of reporting so as to highlight relevant trends and improve reliability
Ensuring recommendations introduced into the AMP both in relation to escalation and de-escalation are appropriate by providing justification to support them with data analysis, closely working with the planning / AMP and reliability units on defect analysis and report findings
Responsible for reviewing and controlling AD / SB / MSB assessments and safety critical items and ensuring implementation into RAL MIS System with a focus on oversight as continuous function
Preparing, coordinating and presenting Engineering Orders & Engineering reviews based on OEM data and industry information.
Providing liaison role between the OEM and the maintenance staff on system problems, clarification, drawings and any support documentation to allow both on and off site repairs and follow up reports
Developing procedures associated with management of the Engineering documentation to support continued airworthiness management
Representing Air Arabia at industry meetings with respect to feedback / reporting / management reviews and development
Providing support to line and base maintenance staff on problematic in service issues, generating work orders for further investigation or corrective actions
Working with Manufacturer's data to provide useful additional support for maintenance staff
Closure of occurrence reports and audit findings
Qualifications & Experience :
Degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Aircraft Licence
Minimum 3- 5 years of relative experience or demonstrable experience in an aircraft maintenance reliability and or engineering environment
Good understanding of continuous airworthiness requirements
Good understanding of current aircraft planning systems and techniques and their relation to aircraft maintenance programmes
Safety / Airworthiness Awareness and GCAA regulations
Team leader with strong supervisory skills
Good technical report writing skills
Use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and airline / MRO Systems. Preference for CAD / CAM working
Excellent command of both verbal and written English skills. Spoken and written Arabic would be an advantage
