Assist in the management of Kitchen Operations including menu planning andcosting, organising special events, developing new dishes, maintaining foodquality standards and comprehensive product knowledge.

An impressive 100,000square meters, the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai comprises 347 luxuriouslyappointed rooms, of which 36 are exquisitely spacious suites.

Surrounded bypristinely landscaped tropical gardens are eight highly appointed royal villaswith stunning views of the Palm Lagoon.

The hotel’s wide variety of internationalrestaurants, boutique mall and cinema provide ample dining and entertainmentattractions.

With its opening in 2018, the hotel’s classical design willcomplement the Kempinski Residences and Hotel Apartments Palm Jumeirah, whichhas been developed in the same architectural style and is located on theadjacent plot.

Key Responsibilities :

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but arenot limited to the following :

  • Assist with organizing special events andspecial food promotions.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledgeincluding ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends andmake recommendations for appropriate adjustments to kitchen operationsaccordingly.
  • Maintain a hygienic kitchen and personalhygiene.
  • Maintain kitchen and equipment.
  • Work with Superior and Director of PeopleServices to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive andassist in planning for future staffing needs.
  • Assist in training needs analysis of Kitchenstaff and ensure training programs are designed and implemented to meet needs.
  • Provide input for probation and formalperformance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines.
  • Approve leave after considering hoteloccupancy.
  • Work with superior in the preparation andmanagement of the department’s budget.
  • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policiesand procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and withinOH&
  • S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.

  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere tooccupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aidand fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
  • Initiate action to correct a hazardoussituation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
  • Log security incidents and accidents inaccordance with hotel requirements.
  • Desired Skills & Qualifications :

    Must have 3-4 years relevant experience on the same position in a 5 star hotel environment

    Knowledge of international cuisine
