Human ResourcesThe purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and design of compensation strategies and ensure compliance and equity in administration of compensation and benefits across the University.
Responsibilities Compensation & Benefits Management
Develops and implements reward strategy including salary structure and benchmarking, benefits management and annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review.
Manages salary classification and compensation programs and conducts analysis of compensation and benefits plans
Assists and collaborates, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program for staff and faculty employees
Reviews and assigns jobs to the existing structure through job evaluation to ensure compliance and equity.
Monitors & reviews staff overtime and faculty overload and ensures compliance with policy, CAA and ministry of labor.
Advises and recommends on benefits management and exceptions including medical insurance, annual air tickets, school fees subsidy, and tuition waiver.
Leads the planning and implementation of the annual appreciation ceremony including venue choice, catering, awards etc.
Identifies and allocates annual increment budget for each department and ensures compliance to allocations.
Ensures the closing of observations or non-conformities identified by internal for HR department.
Researches ways to offer excellent benefits while maintaining costs for both the organization and the employees
Creates and revises policies, programs, processes, and guidelines to meet the needs of the organization, to comply with legal requirements and to promote positive employee relations
Manages the audit for on / off campus apartments and ensures that apartments are given as per eligibility.
Participates in the bidding for vendor selection for medical insurance to ensure the best plan is selected as per budget availability.
Compiles all exception requests received from employees and proposes the same to the committee for review and recommendation. Process Improvement
Proposes plans for process improvement for existing processes and creates new processes as needed.
Reviews & ensures appropriate documentation in the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System as it relates to compensation and position management.
Proposes recommendations for system enhancements as required.
Creates and reviews Compensation & Benefits policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Ministry of Labor and CAA. Gratuity Management
Reviews final settlement calculations for leaving employees and manages the exit procedures.
Conducts exit interviews for leaving employees to solicit feedback for further analysis. Client Service
Provides guidance on complex compensation issues, policy interpretation, problem resolution and compliance with institutional standards and UAE labor law.
Provides integrated advice and consultation on strategic compensation management, organization and job design, individual compensation / classification concerns and other associated compensation & benefits issues
Informs employees’ on compensation changes through different communication channels such as email, Newsletter, SharePoint, etc. Payroll & HRIS
Manages and reviews data entry by HR department into the HR system for payroll processing.
Manages HRIS systems including recordkeeping, reporting, and information management Team Management
Manages the Compensation & Benefits team, Al Ain team, and HR System Analyst to include : leave management, training and development, recruitment, performance management and disciplinary.
Ensures consistency of processes and procedures between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campus.
Collaborates with HR Services Manager to ensure high quality client services are in alignment with ADU’s policies and procedures. Reports
Develops and disseminates management reports on employee turnover, salary inequity, and various other reports involving compensation and / or classification
Oversees the CHEDs report as per Ministry requirement as needed.
Analyzes data generated through reports to propose recommendations for improving the C&B function.
Generates reports on various benefits and compensation to stakeholders to make informed decisions.
