ROLE PURPOSE :
Assist in the development of reward strategy and policies, and ensure effective implementation and administration of all compensation and benefits programs for employees in accordance with the MP HR strategy, policies and processes.
Compensation and Benefit Strategy
Assist the Compensation & Benefits Manager to ensure that compensation and benefit strategies and related strategic plans are developed, and implemented, which are aligned with the business objectives of MP - globally.
Ensure that the developed strategy is closely aligned with MDC’s compensation and benefits strategy and suitably customised as per industry (Oil and Gas) norms.
Assist the Compensation & Benefits Manager in ensuring effective development and execution of compensation and benefit strategy / policies for Secondee’s (International assignee).
Provide inputs and guidance based on analysis and market trends on development of regional compensation and benefits strategy.
Job Analysis and Evaluation
Ensure that all jobs in MP are analysed and a comprehensive database of updated job descriptions is maintained at all times to provide a basis for execution of all HR functions.
Coordinates with various regional HR Managers and ensures that an appropriate job evaluation system is applied to determine the relative worth of jobs based on any change in additional responsibilities or context, and assign a suitable job grade for every position to establish internal equity.
Participate in regular or bespoke Reward surveys in order to study the market reward levels and recommend appropriate rectification of material shortfalls in the salary structure which may impact MP’s recruitment and retention strategy.
Analyze the market trends and assist the Manager Comp & Benefits in the development and recommendation of a competitive salary and benefits structure and sound salary administration processes to ensure equity in salaries and rewards for performance.
Industry best practices
Ensure regular updation on the external environment and industry best practices to bring in the best systems and reward policies for MP to enhance effectiveness of the workforce.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and support in the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Compensation and Benefit activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Compensation and benefits unit systems, processes and practices taking into account international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
MIS and Reports
Prepare compensation and benefit MIS statements reports timely and accurately to meet MP’s and department requirements, policies and standards.
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY :
Scope : Assist in the development of Compensation and Benefit policies for MP globally to best suit the Oil & Gas Sector based on market trend analysis and best practices.
Decision Making :
Takes decisions within the MP delegation of authorities. Decisions are mostly recommendatory in nature with the joint collaboration with Manager C&B, Head -
HR, Regional HR Managers.
Assisting in recommending corporate reward strategy for MP.
Provide advice and recommendation on management of Expatriate reward policies and practices.
Most of the MP organisational KPIs are developed by MDC including bonus parameters for MP-UAE and other regions, the role is responsible for effective implementation of the same in coordination with the Manager Compensation & Benefits.
Degree, MBA and professional qualification (e.g. GRP) preferred.
5-7 years of HR generalist role of which 2-3 should have been in compensation and benefit area. Experience in global compensation and benefits (and reward) and knowledge of local compensation market would be preferred.
Past exposure in oil and gas sector would be an advantage.
