Your day to day
Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will assist in the kitchen areas of our hotel. In this capacity as Commis I you will be responsible for preparing food items in the hot & cold section of the kitchen according to our standard recipes or as per instructions.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation and kitchen equipment is maintained at a good standard with minimum breakage.
you will be required to handle the set up and break down of mise-en-place stations for the various meal periods according to performance standard.
Most importantly, understanding and adhering to the hotel’s policy relating to fire, hygiene and safety.Ideally you will be an energetic and hard working person with a passion and commitment to food and beverage production.
You will be punctual at work and present high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
What we need from you
Ideally, you will have at least 1-2 years of experience as Commis Chef in a hotel or restaurant with good standards / Basic Culinary skills / good hygiene knowledge
