Description

The Technical Account Manager functions as a named, central point of contact for assigned client’s technical and operational needs related to their Advent production environment.

The Technical Account Manager is responsible for having a detailed understanding of the client’s Advent environment (including all Advent products, add-

on pieces, integration points & customization) and sharing this information with other appropriate Advent contacts.

Additionally, the Technical Account Manager responsibilities focus on Issue Management & Upgrade Planning on behalf of assigned clients.

The Technical Account Manager is responsible for management and communication of client issues through to resolution, as well as ensuring successful upgrades via targeted communication and coordination of resources..

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain high level of account satisfaction.
  • Grow the size of client’s Advent relationship by recommending products and services that will benefit client.
  • Conduct onsite visits with clients on defined and as needed basis.
  • Allow more junior team members to shadow visits and serve as a mentor.
  • Shared responsibility in keeping Technical Account Manager Handbook up to date and accurate.
  • Serve as back up other Technical Account Manager team members.
  • Attend and provide account updates to Advent Management on an as needed basis.
  • Typically handles 1-8 client accounts.
  • May handle one or more of Advent’s top Clients.
  • Qualifications Requirements

  • Experience at Advent, and / or in technical support, customer services, training, financial services, or equivalent combination.
  • In some cases, skill levels will be met in a shorter time frame.

  • Tier 2 level knowledge of more than two core Advent products.
  • Strong knowledge of entire Advent suite.
  • Strong knowledge of product topology and technical interaction.
  • Strong knowledge of data related workflow in the Advent product suite.
  • General knowledge of different verticals within investment management, and detailed understanding of two or more.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / responsibilities at any one time and continue to meet deadlines and expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple personality types and deliver results that exceed client’s expectations.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively to a broad range of people client contacts, executive and internal Advent resources.
  • Excellent presentation and / or training skills.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of an issue, and independently identify a solution in a timely manner or escalate if appropriate.
  • High level of initiative and independent work capacity.
  • Basic ability to translate client requirements into compelling recommendations for product and business direction.
  • Strong ability in all MS Office applications.
  • Solid knowledge of networking topologies, configurations, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of underlying Advent code.
  • Level 2 understanding of Advent scripting and macro’s.
  • Basic understanding of Advent Replang.
  • Basic knowledge of Citrix implementation.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Basic certification in at least three Advent products (Seven or more Level ones, three or more level twos).
  • Additional product certifications, and MCP certifications. Stanford or PMI certified project manager are preferred.
