  • To review the established systems to ensure compliance with the organization’s policies,
  • plans, procedures, laws and regulations that have a significant impact on operations.
  • To perform risk analysis on processes in various departments and identify major risky areas and recommend controls that can mitigate those risks
  • To ensure that the Compliance work fulfils the general purposes and responsibilities of Compliance department presented in the Compliance Manual and as approved by Management.
  • To ensure that the resources of Compliance Department are efficiently and effectively employed.
  • To ensure that the operations of Compliance Department conform to the Compliance Plan.
  • To ensure that Compliance work conforms to local and international rules, regulations and standards related AML / CTF.
  • To ensure to prevent unethical, illegal or improper conduct in an organization.
  • Develop and maintain Compliance Manuals, compliance Notices and other compliance policies and procedures to ensure that they properly reflect applicable legal and regulatory requirements, best practices and international standards, and issue new policies and procedures in light of regulatory or business changes.
  • Establish Compliance plan to carry out the responsibilities / duties of Compliance Department.
  • Monitor transactions through OMNI Compliance System.
  • Monitor & address suspicious transactions
  • Prepare MIS and other reports
  • To make sure that employees of the company comply with the rules and regulations.
  • To acts as a medium through which compliance issues are delegated to respective authorities for investigation and solutions.
  • To interact with people from other departments and communicate with them the issues related to compliance.
  • If any kind of risk or vulnerability in the compliance program is observed by the Compliance head, he chalks out plans for taking corrective action.
  • To provide reviews and carries out evaluation of compliance activities in the company. This is done in order to ensure that all the activities are running smoothly.
  • To develop and implement compliance training plan for the existing / new staffs to ensure their awareness about Central Bank rules & regulations
  • Awareness of Anti-money laundering programs thru regular AML & KYC training.
  • To monitor employees transactions and ensure these are as per company’s policies.
  • To communicate all compliance matters with all local and foreign correspondence banks / agents.
  • Participate in the Management meetings and give active feedback on performance of Compliance Department.
  • Qualifications :

  • 12+ years work experience.
  • with experience in Banking industry, most probably from Remittance & Exchange industry in the Gulf countries.
