To provide comprehensive system services and support to business units by ensuring that business needs are reflected fully into the supporting systems either through development or exploitation.

The individual should be able to identify and understand business needs and objectives suggest practical functional solutions and evaluate conflicting requirements.

This includes being the centre of excellence to ensure that systems are supporting business initiatives, either through business data management or defining the functional change requirements in projects and / or enhancements, ensuring such changes are business tested, communicated and trained to the business users.

Job Accountabilities : - Co-ordinate the implementation of system upgrades, and ensures that specific developments and fault fixes of the user department concerned are working in conjunction with the upgrade.

  • Provide input to the Business Support Group Manager in monitoring new developments in functional areas; assess relevance for the Emirates Group and advic e business areas of the changes.
  • Communicate changes to the Emirates IT team. Escalate enhancements required to the relevant Business Project Managers in order for them to finalise.

  • Collate, analyse business requirements / system enhancements in order to ensure the end result is as per the business requirements.
  • Monitor new developments in the functional areas; assess relevance for the business and advise business areas on the changes.

    Communicate these to the IT team. Escalate enhancements required to the relevant Business Project Managers for redressal at various forums.

  • Suggest, formulate and document solutions to meet the individual department's needs and ensure that proposed changes are in the overall interest of the business and future strategy of the system.
  • Consider the impact on the numerous linked systems and ensure that these are allowed for. Escalate, through applicable business environment, functional issues and conflicts and make recommendations of potential solutions.

    Maintain a repository of documented business processes. - Control and authenticate the testing of enhancements, patches and new releases.

    Ensure end-user communities are informed in advance of changes and new functionality introduced to allow for end-user education and familiarisation prior to its release.

    Review the test and regression packs continuously to ensure quality and validity. - Conduct system training to all levels of users within and outside the Group.

    Training may be delivered in the classroom or on-site during implementation. The job holder should ensure that the training materials and exercise packs are compatible with the system and meets the various levels of trainees (i.

    e. Basic, Supervisory and Advanced) - Prepare and maintain the User Manuals by incorporating the changes in time for version change release dates set by the management.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to users by answering functional queries, identifying areas of improvement through system monitoring of users and suggest best practices that offer potential cost or productivity savings.
  • Be on call for support to ensure uninterrupted availability of the system and high quality of services to the business community.
  • Specific - Co-ordination, update and maintenance of the business critical master tables and system configuration database of the Maximo System.

  • Maintain all user owned system documentation including the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Identify changes required to the documentation as a result of new business requirements / system upgrades;
  • agree and document the new procedure with the affected departments. - Co-ordinate the implementation of system upgrades as delivered by IBM for the Maximo system and related functions and ensures that the EK Group's specific developments are working in conjunction with the upgrade.

  • Track problem reports raised by end-users and give guidance for the resolutions. Interact with IBM Support for filing, follow-
  • up and resolution of system bugs and TARs (Technical Assistance Reports). Provide explanations whenever needed. Ensure that end-

    users are kept informed of the progress on the problem reports raised by them. - Ability to control, maintain and change security group, workflow configuration, asset management, tools, classification, reports, communication templates and other related modules of Maximo System.

    Experience IT Systems & Procedures 5+ Years Qualification Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Knowledge / skills : An Excellent knowledge and experience in Maximo Product.

    Ability to deal and interact with all levels of the technical and user community in a friendly manner Ability to understand and communicate effectively to different user group.

    Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and strong proficiency in English Strong analytical ability with diagnostic and problem solving skills.

    A good knowledge of IT environment and software development life cycle, EK financial and HR Business domain knowledge (In depth and detailed knowledge of the application and / or another leading similar systems and related industry as well as of Industry standards, regulations and resolutions for the designated application).
