The individual should be able to identify and understand business needs and objectives suggest practical functional solutions and evaluate conflicting requirements.
This includes being the centre of excellence to ensure that systems are supporting business initiatives, either through business data management or defining the functional change requirements in projects and / or enhancements, ensuring such changes are business tested, communicated and trained to the business users.
Job Accountabilities : - Co-ordinate the implementation of system upgrades, and ensures that specific developments and fault fixes of the user department concerned are working in conjunction with the upgrade.
Communicate changes to the Emirates IT team. Escalate enhancements required to the relevant Business Project Managers in order for them to finalise.
Monitor new developments in the functional areas; assess relevance for the business and advise business areas on the changes.

Consider the impact on the numerous linked systems and ensure that these are allowed for. Escalate, through applicable business environment, functional issues and conflicts and make recommendations of potential solutions.
Maintain a repository of documented business processes. - Control and authenticate the testing of enhancements, patches and new releases.
Ensure end-user communities are informed in advance of changes and new functionality introduced to allow for end-user education and familiarisation prior to its release.
Review the test and regression packs continuously to ensure quality and validity. - Conduct system training to all levels of users within and outside the Group.
