AECOM are looking for a Commercial Manager to provide support and assistance to a variety of functions within the project controls team for the Buildings + Places business line.
The Commercial Manager will be required to manage AECOM’s internal procedures covering project finances, commercial management, contract administration, risk and compliance.
Support Project Directors and Managers with project commercials and provide guidance in solving commercial road blocks.
Work with AECOM’s contracts and legal team and regional consul to provide contract reviews and align contract clauses and project qualifications to scope and deliverables of Main agreements with clients, sub consultants, vendors and similar.
Support technical leads and project managers on managing project accounts and monitoring costs and budget, as well as pursing timely invoicing.
Commercially manage multiple projects in different sectors and report key project financials directly to Executive Management.
Manage sub consultants; reviewing contractual requirements and managing invoicing and payment.
Liaise and interact with Client commercial managers and act as intermediate between them AECOM.
Support other project control functions and provide mentorship to junior project control engineers.
Provide contracts and commercial management for AECOM’s projects.
Ensuring that all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations
Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties
As a commercial manager, key character attributes require a pro-active individual with a dynamic problem-solving approach adaptable over a range of different functions and changing business environment.
To provide commercial management support, the individual must have successfully managed multiple projects in the past. The ideal candidate is to have a strong working knowledge in capital projects and hence have fluency in understanding project controls and project finance and a strong background in project commercials and contracts.
The individual must possess experience working in a large multinational corporation or large international organization and operate ethically with a diligent, responsible work ethic.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new Project Management softwares.
Regional experience and sound knowledge of business in the Gulf and Middle East. An understanding / familiarity with the key regional developers will provide added
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or construction related discipline, Quantity Surveying, Law or business related field.
Professional Membership such as RICS, and training in contract, construction, and commercial law are preferred.
