Responsible for the strengthening of the Programs Quality Assurance (QA), in particular ensuring that the programs are compliant with the CAA Standards and other relevant international standards in order to maintain the Program reputation of a strong academic standing.

The post-holder has to ensure that he / she keeps abreast of changes to internal and external educational policies to ensure continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards, employing innovative solutions in order to do so.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited university relevant to the division in which she / he serves. BS degree is acceptable with significant relevant experience
  • Candidates with additional QA certification and / or project management certification preferred
  • Minimum of four years' of Quality Assurance experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate significant and consistent career development and progression.
  • High level understanding of implementing and monitoring quality assurance and enhancement processes and procedures in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of accreditation of professional bodies of university degree programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate significant and consistent career development and progression.
  • Authoritative knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Experience in working in a Quality Assurance setting in a Higher Education Institution.
  • Experience in developing Quality Assurance policy and procedure documentation.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to 'manage faculty', achieve results through others and inspire and motivate a team.
  • Experience of ensuring compliance with the requirements of the CAA Standards Knowledge and experience of processes in relation to External Evaluators.
  • Awareness of the legal context in which higher education institutions operate.
  • Experience of providing customer service within a higher education setting.
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office, specifically excel.
  • Proven experience of use of databases for retrieving of information.
  • Able to recruit, develop and lead a team of staff to meet objectives and to ensure equality of opportunity.
  • An ability to manage and lead projects with a track record of meeting deadlines and targets.
  • A proven ability to elicit cooperation from busy colleagues including senior academic staff.
  • Ability to set and meet appropriate personal and team objectives and a commitment to self-improvement.
